The project Hybrid Banking (HB) has been established in 2015 to investigate this. At present we have developed a concepts and draft the conditions for a blockchain application. Hopefully in the Spring of 2018 we can release a WhitePaper providing an overview of over fifty different transactional means. In 2019 we would like to organise a large-scale Do-It-Yourself Conference on Hybrid Banking. Maybe – but that is for now now sure – we might create a Hackaton on Hybrid Banking in 2020. Let’s see. Since 2014, the Nijmegen School of Management (Radboud University) has conducted research regarding these transactional questions. This has resulted in a basic model comprised of a number of building blocks for Hybrid Banking. Through various real-life pilots with freelancers and local residents in Arnhem and Nijmegen in spring of 2015, they attempted to find an answer to the question of how people use such an alternative value system. These pilots have provided valuable insight into actual everyday practice. A working paper has appeared in Dutch with our results so far.
